I am learning openstack and followed openstack documents to install openstack.

I have installed 1 controller, 1 storage, 2 compute nodes.

Using horizon dashboard i have created vxlan network and launched 2 instances (one on each compute. lets call it as VM1 and VM2). Everything is working fine . i can ping VM2 from VM1. I am using just the linux bridges not OVS. I need to know how vxlan configuration is applied on the compute. Could you please let me know how i can see the configuration on compute cli.

========================================================== root@compute:~# brctl show bridge name bridge id STP enabled interfaces brq80946994-f6 8000.aeca2812a80f no tapff12e443-d6

root@compute1:~# brctl show bridge name bridge id STP enabled interfaces brq80946994-f6 8000.2aede741d72e no tap3552d6db-89 tap88eca071-82 vxlan-1001

Use the ip a, ip l and ip tunnel commands to list the VXLAN interfaces. Also read the Linuxbridge deployment page from the networking guide.

i can see fwd table and see VM2 mac pointing to compute-2. im trying to check how vxlan is configured on compute. i.e what info will horizon send to compute. is there a command to check the vxlan configuration ? something like "more /etc/network/interfaces"
