OpenStack inside VM

I have set up OpenStack on a multi node platform with one controller node and two compute nodes (one of them is the controller node itself), I have launched VMs and I wish to know if I can setup OpenStack again on that VM? Will there be issues due to virtualization and not complete and direct access to hardware?

Nested virtualization is possible, yes. A colleague of mine managed to start a virtual environment inside of a virtual machine. It runs on a KVM hypervisor, but I don't have any more details on that. But google can probably help ;-)

As we tried, you can't. The VM's doesn't have access to hardware directly.

This link will help you.

The undercloud, a bare metal cloud that runs on, and owns, all the hardware.
The overcloud, a regular VM based cloud running as a tenant on the bare metal cloud.
Additional VM clouds can run as parallel tenants on the undercloud.
