I have installed openstack ocata version as per the official docs. When i try to create a project, below is the error message i get.

Could not find default role "user" in keystone.

I checked my /etc/openstack-dashboard/local_settings.py file and found this:

OPENSTACK_HOST = "controller"
OPENSTACK_KEYSTONE_URL = "http://%s:5000/v3" % OPENSTACK_HOST
OPENSTACK_KEYSTONE_DEFAULT_ROLE = "user"

Below is the exact error that i get in the /var/log/httpd/error_log

Per https://docs.openstack.org/ocata/config-reference/dashboard/config-options.html (https://docs.openstack.org/ocata/conf...) , OPENSTACK_KEYSTONE_DEFAULT_ROLE should match the member_role_name defined in keystone.conf , and it appears that _member_is the standard/default name (https://docs.openstack.org/ocata/config-reference/identity/api.html (https://docs.openstack.org/ocata/conf...)), so that's what I use.
