My current environment of openstack deployed by using packstack and I am using mitaka. I have noticed that some services of gnocchi are running. I need to start using inorder to collect metrics. I don't want to use ceilometer for my metrics. I need some instruction to enable and start using Gnocchi and collect all the metrics. I need to know on packstack environment.

@mkhan - U still need ceilometer to collect data. Gnocchi is just a backend storage for data collected by ceilometer.

Please check gnocchi's docs for installation/configuration - http://gnocchi.xyz/install.html

And if U have some specific question(service fails to start/no data available) please file them separately.

I have done installation through packstack and I have choosed to install both ceilometer and gnochi. When I run I command gnocchi metric list, it's not displaying anything onscreen.

when I configured gnocchi.conf manually , it's asking me for resource_id, user_id, and project_id and where do I get these id's. When I compare the current project and user id of current environment, its not the same id'sresource_id = 5e3fcbe2-7aab-475d-b42c-a440aa42e5ad user_id = e0ca4711-1128-422c
