Following steps on
packstack --allinone generated the following error:

10.x.x.x_controller.pp: [ ERROR ]
Applying Puppet manifests [ ERROR ]

ERROR : Error appeared during Puppet run: 10.x.x.x_controller.pp Error: Failed to apply catalog: Command: 'openstack ["image", "list", "--quiet", "--format", "csv", "--long"]' has been running for more than 40 seconds (tried 4, for a total of 170 seconds)

Any tips to fix the error are appreciated.

I was eventually able to run packstack --allinone to completion without errors. I used VMware workstation 12 pro on a laptop with 8 GB RAM. I gave the vm 4 GB RAM. It took several hours to complete the install.

Could you post the details of server resources you used? It seems the service stops responding and this is possibly due to the lack of RAM!!

I'm receiving the same result after doubling my RAM to 4GB on the deployment node. running top during the install reveals more than 1GB available RAM. Thoughts?

Additionally, Horizon does finally load at http://my_ip/dashboard however, neither admin nor demo credentials ever load the next page. It hovers at the login page. The only log entry in the horizon log file indicates a success.
