Ocata nova CLI outputs ugly warning - can it be suppressed?

asked 2017-03-07 21:11:29 -0600

There are a few Nova commands that the openstack client doesn't have, for example the live-migration management commands like nova server-migration-show or nova live-migration-force-complete.

Whenever I run a nova CLI command on Ocata, I get this message:

/usr/lib/python2.7/site-packages/novaclient/client.py:278: UserWarning: The 'tenant_id' argument is deprecated in Ocata and its use may result in errors in future releases. As 'project_id' is provided, the 'tenant_id' argument will be ignored.
  warnings.warn(msg)

My shell environment contains nothing that contains "tenant" or "TENANT".

Is this message deliberate? Should I submit a bug?

Or:

When will the openstack client reach parity with the nova client so that the nova CLI can be retired?

Hello,

Have the same question - really annoying to be honest.

Kind regards, Michal.

in Shell, I just used redirect standard out to standard err, then filter warning string out.
