Hi,

Is there a best practice on how to configure a CentOS interface that will be used for external networking? I'm using OVS as a mechanism driver. Docs only say that the interface should not have an IP, but i'm wondering if any other special configs should be in place.

No other config is needed unless you have complex external networking configuration

The interface file stored in /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/XYZ should follow this format on centos:

TYPE=Ethernet
BOOTPROTO=none
NAME=<interface_name>
DEVICE=<interface_name>
ONBOOT=yes
