Packstack is nice, but the distro-agnostic official OpenStack documentation also has Magnum installation instructions. Here is the Ubuntu version: https://docs.openstack.org/project-in....

And here is another option (not sure how the two options are related): https://docs.openstack.org/developer/....

Per https://www.redhat.com/archives/rdo-l...
RDO Ocata new features :-

>From the Packstack (https://github.com/openstack/packstack) side, we have several improvements:
  - We have added support to install Panko and Magnum
 - Puppet 4 is now supported, and we have updated our manifests to cover the latest changes in the supported projects

Sounds like via RDO stable repos ( around 03/02-03/2017 to be ready ) just tuning answer file
a kind of :-
CONFIG_HEAT_HOST=Y
CONFIG_MAGNUM_HOST=Y
You should be able deploy Magnum via heat in oncoming release RDO Ocata doing packstack installation.
