Hi there,

I'm trying to implement the OpenStack-Ansible deployment and I'm at the point that I try to git clone the repo as the guides suggests here:

https://docs.openstack.org/project-de...

with this command:

git clone -b TAG https://git.openstack.org/openstack/o... /opt/openstack-ansible

But instead of downloading the repo I get this error: "fatal: Remote branch TAG not found in upstream origin".

Why is this happening? Should I just donwload from the master bracnh instead? Please help!

Replace TAG with the git tag you want to use, in example: stable/newton, stable/ocata, 15.0.0.0b3, master, etc

So what you 're saying is, that TAG was never an actual branch name? Secondly, where can I see the available versions? And how can I decide which version suits me? If I don't know which version to use, can I just use the master version? I'm using the OSA deployment guide. Thank you for your time!!

From here in the branch button appears all branch and tags https://github.com/openstack/openstac...

I don't really know how openstack-ansible tag their repositories so I cant help you on this. I suggest you to use stable/newton as is the current stable release
