Hello, I'm deploying OpenStack and finally I finished the installation and I've launched a few instances at the beginning.

All is working but after an hour, I added new instances (the same instances attributes and flavours that are working), and Horizont give me an error:

Build of instance 070995e4-66f4-4acd-87c7-92815a489edd aborted: Block Device Mapping is Invalid. Error 500.

At cinder logs I can see the log of well created instances, /var/log/cinder/volume.log , but none about failed instances created.

And in /var/log/cinder/scheduler.log I have the next error:

Failed to run task cinder.scheduler.flows.create_volume.ScheduleCreateVolumeTask;volume:create: No valid host was found. No weighed hosts available

I restarted Cinder services at control node, but error persist and I can't create new instances.

[root@controller ~]# systemctl restart openstack-cinder-api.service
[root@controller ~]# systemctl restart openstack-cinder-backup.service
[root@controller ~]# systemctl restart openstack-cinder-scheduler.service
[root@controller ~]# systemctl restart openstack-cinder-volume.service

And when I try: openstack volume create --image a1c3c3ac-6f82-4db3-b12e-e3460762a970 --size 1 --availability-zone nova my-new-volume the volume created have ERROR status.

I suppose those things are related, but I dont know why after instantiate a few exact images (that are working) then it's impossible to create new instances.

What do you recommend me?

Solved ! Default installation provides a default volume size, and it must extended.

Solution is here: https://udaraliyanage.wordpress.com/2014/05/23/openstack-increase-volume-capacity/comment-page-1/ (https://udaraliyanage.wordpress.com/2...)

Regards.
