Hi, I have installed cloud-init on Windows with the settings to create the "admin" user & password to inject from metadata & syspred it. After that that i uploaded the image in glance but after image is launched, admin password is not getting set according the password that i entered in the dashboard or with random password that gets generated after running nova boot command. Admin account is getting created but password is not working. In the cloud-init log i see that everything is working without any error.

What hypervisor are you using?

Did you assign a keypair to the instance and used "nova get-password" to retrieve the password?

Can you please post the cloudbase-init log in a pastebin to get some additional details?

Hi Alex, Sorry for the late reply. I am able to login now(may be I was using wrong key). As a end user, he cannot get the password by running "nova get-password" as he will not be having access to cloud server. So how to get the password from dashboard itself?
