I have an error creating instances I have upgraded to Newton and trying to use gluster for shared instances. I have followed all the directions from gluster and Openstack for gluster images being located in the /var/lib/nova/instances directory. I have added the uid and gid to the volume along with the server.allow-insecure on per the instructions. I still receive errors when I launch a vm on the gluster share but if I unmount the gluster share and launch on regular disk it works. If anyone has any info that can help it would greatly be appreciated I have included my compute log file from my compute node which is a gluster node and well :

Hi, I think you should check QEMU/Libvirt logs in /var/log/libvirt. Then you can try to take Nova/Cinder slightly out of equation by using XML file that is being generated, then put the disk file manually and try to do virsh start/virsh define with disk file that you copy yourself.

what about the cinder volume log?
