Adding (Attaching) additional volume (additional Drive or Hard) to an Instance should be done by Glance or other Components like Cinder and swift? I know cinder create volumes but Glance manage adding it to instance or not (it done by compute and cinder without need to glance)? In other way, when we attach new hard (second Drive or disk) to a VM, we use cinder not Glance. Yes? I wanna be sure glance is not used in attaching new disk to VMs. so I should not be concern about types of disk formats which Glance support for additional disk drives

Thanks all

Nova attaches volumes to instances. This involves setting up connections to the volume on the instance's compute node. To create those connections, Nova needs information from Cinder.

Glance is a catalog of images and has nothing to do with volume management or attachment.
