I'm performing an install of PackStack using the Quick Start Proof of Concept for Newton on CentOS 7.1.

https://www.rdoproject.org/install/qu...

I've performed the prerequisites which include:

  1. Updating the packages
  2. Disabling NetworkManager and firewalld.

On two different nodes (one virtual and one physical), the installation has hung in the same place:

Applying <IP_ADDRESS>_controller.pp
Testing if puppet apply is finished: <IP_ADDRESS>_controller.pp [\]

I don't see anything revealing in the openstack-setup.log file and I'm not sure of any other logs to check at this time.

This problem is limited to Newton. I was able to successfully install Mitaka using the same procedure. While I ran into a few issues when installing Mitaka, I was able to work through them since they produced meaningful error messages.

Hi,

I have installed OpenStack Newton on CentOS7.2, try performing update of CentOS7.1 to CentOS7.2 and try OpenStack Newton installation via Packstack. This time it may work.

Note: Hoping that there are enough resources allocated such that it meets minimum requirements of OpenStack to CentOS device to Install OpenStack
