Hi,

I am new to devstack. I am installing devstack on Ubuntu 16.04 LTS. Python version 2.7.12 and django version 1.11. When I run ./stack.sh, my installation keeps on failing, gives me message as below:

django.core.exceptions.ImproperlyCOnfigured: AUTH_USER_MODEL refers to model 'openstack_auth.User' that has not been installed

I have done below:

- sudo apt-get update
- sudo apt-get upgrade
- Installed django
  • tried to run ./stack.sh in 'virtualenv', but this doesn't works, showing a message that ./stach.sh doesn't works in a venv.

Supporting files: error message screenshot & local.conf file

Dropbox Link: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/w8twtiklqa... Since I am new to the community, I cannot attach the snapshot of the error here. So I have uploaded it on dropbox.

Hi,

You no need to install django manually. Sometimes, it will not integrate properly when you do it manually. It will be installed and configured automatically during the stacking process itself.

So, my suggestion is to do a clean install.

RUN, sudo apt-get update ./stack

cheers!
