I've installed openstack newton on ubuntu16.04 and it works great. However, looks like the VNC console of the VM ages out after awhile. Is there anyway to generate a persistent url or disable the timeout?

user1@controller:~$ openstack console url show corpnet-vm-1
| Field | Value |
| type | novnc |
| url | http://controller:6080/vnc_auto.html?token=4e9b60e2-b8a1-4f85-aed3-0892af6adfe3 |

This url seems to age out after maybe 30 mins. If i run the command again then i'll get a new url which works fine but i just wanted a permanent url.

Thanks, Antoine

This is by design to increase security. See parameter console_token_ttl in the config reference. I believe it's measured in seconds; perhaps 0 means indefinite.

It seems the parameter will be renamed in Ocata. See release notes.

Thanks, Bernd!

Setting console_token_ttl to 0 disables the age out. I figured this is a security thing but for some of my VMs i'm not too concern.
