In order to create a custom cloud image, I am following the instructions in the openStack image guide. Unfortunately image creation always fails with error Boot failed : not a bootable disk. I am using an Ubuntu machine installed in virtual box. I installed virt-manager and there is an integrated viewer. I have tried with a mini.iso as well as a standard server iso from ubuntu repo.

Am i missing something somewhere ?

Thanks !!

which step fails? What do you mean by "using virtualbox a Ubuntu system"?

@Bernd Bausch. I have corrected the question, it was a typo. I was also able to resolve the issue, apparently I misunderstood a step. thanks a lot .
