cant resize an instance

Hi,

my issue is quite strange.

basically I can't resize an instance from medium to large. I checked the logs and apparently my hypervisor is ignored:

Host filter ignoring hosts

However I can create a new instance as large, so the quota and resources on the hypervisor are fine.

My environment is all-in-one host.

There are the logs I can see from nova-scheduler:

Since it is all-in-one installation, I think it is matter of parameter allow_resize_to_same_host in nova.conf which should be 'True' in your case.

By default allow_resize_to_same_host conf option is set to False. So it is not considering the current host and trying for another host, which doesn't exists in your case as it is all-in-one installation and its failing. Set allow_resize_to_same_host option to True in /etc/nova/nova.conf and restart the compute service.
