Can I install Swift Storage only and not the full Openstack package? If yes, how do I do that? How do I enable support for S3 API?

This is old but it works , you can try out the similar idea on new release -:

Search the internet for standalone swift object storageor something similar. A ton of results. For example, https://thornelabs.net/2014/07/14/ins... or https://wiki.openstack.org/wiki/Swift.... Not necessarily 100% up to date, but good enough for a start, I would say.
