Its hard to say, and might be two different issues. The DB is down so I understand why you will see the issues in the 1st and 2nd links. What I'd want to see is the DB logs or anything from /var/log/messages that can help identifying why the DB went down all of a sudden. Personally I had issues with the DB as well but that was related to working with small nodes. If you can spare the RAM, I'd try with at least 6GB RAM + some SWAP just to make sure its not RAM related. The issue from the 3rd link is a propagation of the actual exit code of the command that was trying to be run the node. If it is possible, I'd want to see (stdout/err) of what happens if you ran the same command on the same node manually.
