Hi Oscar,

By seeing your error log it clearly tells that your rabbitmq service is not reachable.

first check the rabbitmq-server is in active state or not if it is active then check the

rabbitmq credentials in nova.conf.

  vi /etc/nova/nova.conf

after configuring the nova.conf restart all the nova and rabbitmq services

like given below :

sudo service rabbitmq-sever restart

sudo service nova-api restart

sudo service nova-scheduler restart

sudo service nova-conductor restart

sudo service nova-compute restart

Hi Oscar,

By seeing your error log it clearly tells that your rabbitmq service is not reachable.

first check the rabbitmq-server is in active state or not if it If the status is active then check the

rabbitmq credentials in nova.conf. you need to make sure that rabbitmq port is allowed to make connection between your openstack nodes through firewall.

To verify if RabbitMQ service is running on your rabbit server, run below command: -

 service rabbitmq-server status

if the rabbitmq-server is not in active state then check the rabbitmq credentials in nova.conf. if the credentials are wrong then reset the correct credentials and save the nova.conf file.

 vi /etc/nova/nova.conf

Make sure that there is no time lag between your openstack node, all the nodes should be synced with a central server time using NTP.

I would also suggest you to change the debug mode 'true' in nova configuration file as below: after configuring the nova.conf restart all the nova and rabbitmq services

services like given below :

sudo service rabbitmq-sever restart

sudo service nova-api restart

sudo service nova-scheduler restart

sudo service nova-conductor restart

sudo service nova-compute restart

Hi Oscar,

By seeing your error the log you pasted here, it clearly tells that your rabbitmq service seems like nova conductor is not reachable.running.

first once check the rabbitmq-server is in active state or not If the status is active then you need to make sure that rabbitmq port is allowed to make connection between your openstack nodes through firewall.

To verify if RabbitMQ service is running on your rabbit server, run below command: -of nova-conductor like

 service rabbitmq-server nova-conductor status

if the rabbitmq-server status of nova-conductor is not in active state then check down, restart the rabbitmq credentials in nova.conf. if the credentials are wrong then reset the correct credentials and save the nova.conf file.nova-conductor service like

 vi /etc/nova/nova.conf
service nova-conductor restart

Make sure that there is no time lag between your openstack node, so once again restart the services like mysql,rabbitmq-server and all the nodes should be synced with a central server time using NTP.nova services

I would also suggest you to change the debug mode 'true' in nova configuration file as below: after configuring the nova.conf restart all the nova and rabbitmq services like given below :

sudo service rabbitmq-sever restart

sudo service nova-api restart

sudo service nova-scheduler restart

sudo service nova-conductor restart

sudo service nova-compute restart

Hi Oscar,

By seeing the log you pasted here, it seems like nova conductor is not running.

once check the status of nova-conductor like

 service nova-conductor status

if the status of nova-conductor is down, restart the nova-conductor service like

 service nova-conductor restart

so once again restart the services like mysql,rabbitmq-server and all nova services services.
